Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using RGB Colors (the “Service”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Service.

The service

RGB Colors is a free, browser-based collection of color utilities — pickers, converters, generators, checkers and reference charts — provided for personal and professional design work. The tools run in your browser and are offered as-is, without registration and without any guarantee of availability.

Your licence to use the tools

You may use the Service free of charge for personal and commercial projects. You may copy the values the tools produce, export the files they generate and use them in your own products. No attribution is required.

Acceptable use

To keep the Service fast and available for everyone, you agree not to:

• scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site in a way that degrades it for other visitors;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• repackage the Service, or a substantial part of it, as a competing product;
• use the Service in a way that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others.

Your content and output

You keep everything you create with the tools. Colors, palettes, gradients, converted images and downloaded files are yours, and because they never leave your browser we never see or store them. You are responsible for making sure your use of the output — including any brand colors you look up here — is appropriate for your project.

Intellectual property

The Service itself — its design, interface, written content, curated data and source code — belongs to RGB Colors and is protected by copyright. These terms give you permission to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership of it.

Advertising and third-party content

The Service is funded by advertising and may display ads supplied by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. We do not control, endorse or verify the products and services advertised. Ads are served under the advertiser’s and the network’s own terms; personalised advertising is described in our Privacy Policy.

Accuracy and no professional advice

We work hard to make every conversion correct: the color maths follows the standard sRGB/HSL formulae and contrast results use the WCAG 2.x relative-luminance method. Even so, the output is reference material rather than professional advice. Verify important values — especially for print production, accessibility certification or brand-critical work — against an authoritative source before you rely on them.

Third-party links and services

The Service links to other websites and relies on third-party services such as web fonts, content delivery, advertising and analytics. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those third parties.

Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend or remove tools and pages at any time, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or because of factors outside our control. We do not promise that any particular feature will remain available.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RGB Colors and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is zero.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RGB Colors and its operators from any claim, loss or expense arising out of your misuse of the Service or your breach of these terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict or discontinue access for anyone who abuses it. The sections that by their nature should survive termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity — continue to apply afterwards.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
